CLIMATE CHANGE STANDARDS AND REGISTRIES
The UN Kyoto Protocol has placed legally binding emission reduction targets on countries around the world and a ‘compliance carbon market’ has emerged to help countries meet these targets.

The voluntary carbon market has developed rapidly over the last year, and we are now seeing high quality standards emerging. We have been at the forefront of campaigning for those standards and we will continue to push hard for quality assurance in the carbon markets, ensuring that both those buying offsets and those wishing to drive innovation in low carbon technologies will be protected and supported.

All carbonmetrics projects are being developed to an internationally recognised industry standard of the following types:

  • The Climate Group & IETA backed.
  • Attempting to be a rigorous but appropriate market voluntary market standard.
  • Renewables, industrial & domestic energy efficiency, industrial gases, waste gas capture.
